The Pacific Islands Investment Forum
COLLABORATION • EDUCATION • CO-INVESTMENT
Who we are
The Pacific Islands Investment Forum is an industry group of 20 Superannuation, Provident, Trust, and Sovereign Funds in 12 countries across the Pacific region. Together we represent the savings and financial wellbeing of over 1.6 million members — providing a platform for Collaboration, Education, and Co-Investing to improve financial security for Pacific people.
How we work together
-
Every year the PIIF holds a CEO Forum providing an opportunity for the CEOs to come together to build relationships with other CEOs from around the Pacific, discussing best practices, share investment experiences, provide opportunities, and raising relevant issues in the Pacific affecting their Funds and the industry. It is also the opportunity for multi-lateral partners to engage with the PIIF.
In addition to the CEO Forum, the Investment Officers Forum (IOF) has been added to the annual program with the first IOF being held in November 2022 in New Zealand. The IOF will be held at least once a year as the working group and implementation of the PIIF co-investments.
-
The PIIF has formed partnerships with investment education providers with a focus on delivering programs that support and strengthen decision making across the key areas of strategy, risk, governance, and investment.
The programs are targeted to the Executive, Boards and Trustees from within our membership.
In addition to these programs we encourage our key personnel to attend regional industry and investment events.
-
A key objective of the PIIF is to provide the opportunity for members to share investment opportunities, particularly in the Pacific region where each Fund is a specialist at investing within their own countries.
It provides an opportunity for the pooling of funds to enable access to large scale investment in infrastructure across the region, and to access market products at lower entry pricing.
In addition to this, the development of the new co-investment platform is intended to provide the opportunity to improve liquidity within these investments.
